Oracle updates 21A Financial

We’ve been taking a look at what’s new within Oracle ERP Cloud Update 21A. We’ve summarised a few highlights for you to take a look at below.

Chart of Accounts (CoA)

Oracle has enhanced the User Interface, which means that the configuration and loading of account values are improved. The functionality has become more user friendly in defining and maintaining the chart of account design, making implementation and changes easier for users.

Data Validation and Flex Fields

Users can now validate data by dates and number values stored in flex fields, which enables real-time reporting and operational efficiencies. This extends to the information flow between Payroll and finance, ensuring the availability of information between application modules.

Managing Expenses

Being able to manage expenses is paramount for any organisation. Oracle has made further improvements for ease of use and validation around audit of company expenses. This allows approvers to search for specific words and categories that save time, providing more accurate reporting and auditing of claims.

Payables

Improvements have been made to the invoicing process to be more accurate with real-time payments processing for suppliers that may have had issues in the past. There is improved functionality making it easier to search date ranges for Supplier and Party Names.
